The 2027 A1000® FP1620SS is a 12.5” first base mitt for players growing their game at the bag. Handmade in the Wilson Pro Stock® Factory, every A1000® is the product of our unmatched attention to detail. Pro-style patterns come to life with new, softer full grain leather that makes break-in a breeze, letting you take the field right away while delivering quality and feel that gets better with time.
The FP1620 pattern is best defined by two callouts that work in tandem. The Single Post Web is key to the glove’s single break point design, meaning it’s intended to close shut in the same place each time after it has been broken in. This creates a reliable mechanism for securing the ball in the pocket, whether you’re fielding the ball or receiving throws to first. Our Drawstring Closure uses untied laces on the outside of the wrist, allowing you to easily adjust and tie-off for your preferred fit.
- Series: A1000
- Pattern: FP1620
- Position: First Base
- Web: Single Post
- Leather: Full Grain Leather
- SuperSnakeSkin™: SuperSnakeSkin™ is a microfiber material that’s half the weight of Pro Stock Leather, but twice as durable - in an all-new textured design. Its moisture-resistance extends the longevity of the glove and is easier to clean than traditional leather.
- Rolled Dual Welting: Dual Welting in Wilson gloves goes beyond a mere cosmetic effect, as it’s integrated into the liner of each infield, outfield and pitcher's model, offering better support and helping your glove hold its shape better over time.
- Flat Finger Binding: Flat Finger Binding gives players who prefer to play with a finger outside the glove greater comfort and control in the field. By reducing the amount of space between your finger and the back of the glove, you’ll experience less pain when making plays
- DriLex Wrist Lining: Keeps your hand dry and comfortable on the field and behind the dish
- Bold Logos: Bold logos strip away the distractions, allowing outlined, eye-catching Wilson logos to announce a new era in the iconic story of Wilson Ball Gloves.
- Drawstring Closure: Adjustable rawhide laces extending from the wrist closure to allow for easy adjustments on the move.
- Full Grain Leather: Game ready from day one, Full Grain Leather offers a soft feel that forms to the player’s hand without a meticulous break-in process. Leather in every A1000® ball glove is formed with the outermost layer of the hide to display its natural grain and texture.
